‘The Wanderer’ is an adult animated series that is a bleak, yet hopeful apocalyptic drama I have been developing over the course of many years. The show will be animated, with the cast being portrayed as anthropomorphic animals. This detail brings an additional emotional connection to the characters of the story which I believe human characters would struggle to do. It also acts as a unique element that makes this show stand out amongst other apocalyptic, live action tales.

Set years after the world fell to nuclear war, Zac, a melancholic man living in an oppressive safe zone escapes to embark on an epic journey through the magnificent frozen landscapes of Europe now reclaimed by nature. With no thought of a future, He’s driven to reach his old home which holds his fondest memories from before the fall.

Throughout his adventure, Zac encounters the best and worst kinds of survivors. With seemingly nothing to live for, he gains new friendships and fearsome enemies along the way, who drag him into conflicts far larger than he could possibly imagine.
